Privacy Policy

PollackExpress uses account and study information to provide personalized tutoring. We do not sell personal information. Users control saved agent memory and can request or perform account deletion.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, including email address, tutoring style, and optional interests. We also store study activity you choose to create, such as questions, uploaded notes, generated flashcard decks, progress totals, study time, transcripts, upgrade interest, and user-approved learning memory.

Files and AI processing

Text, images, PDFs, and public lesson-video links submitted for tutoring are sent to our protected server and may be processed by Google Gemini to produce responses. Pollack.AI meeting recordings and notes are stored in this browser on your device, without uploading media to PollackExpress. Optional live microphone captions may be processed by your browser provider. If you send meeting notes into Express and request an AI action, those notes are sent to our protected AI endpoint. Do not upload Social Security numbers, payment-card information, medical records, private school records, or information you are not authorized to share.

How information is used

Storage and sharing

Authentication and account-backed data are stored using Firebase. AI requests are processed through Google Gemini, and the website is hosted on Vercel. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or to providers necessary to operate PollackExpress. We do not sell personal information or use study content to deliver third-party advertising.

Students and minors

PollackExpress is an educational tool, not a school records system. Users under the age required to consent to online services in their location should use PollackExpress only with permission from a parent, guardian, or school as applicable. Parents and guardians may contact us regarding a minor's account or deletion request.

Retention and control

Account information remains while an account is active or as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and comply with legal obligations. The Stateful Tutoring Agent uses only memory saved to the user's account, and that memory can be edited or cleared. Temporary operational logs may remain for a limited period after deletion.

Local meeting recordings

Download recordings you want to keep. Browser storage may be cleared or evicted, and recordings do not sync across devices or website domains. Delete recordings from Pollack.AI Meetings before deleting your account, or clear this site's browser data afterward. Deleting a cloud account does not erase local browser media.

Deleting your account

Log in, open Account & Privacy, and select Permanently Delete My Account. This removes the Firebase login and recursively deletes profile data and subcollections, including decks, progress, upgrade requests, and agent memory. If you cannot log in, email [email protected] from the account email.

Security

PollackExpress uses authenticated requests, user-isolated database rules, server-side AI credentials, and usage controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect passwords and report suspected unauthorized access.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material updates will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
